Just got back from the dealer. I was having them look into the mysterious rising oil level issue (They said it was 1/8" overfilled at the factory, I saw oil in the metal part of the cable which is more like 3/4") and the computer came up with a recall issued today.

It says, "REPROGRAM ECM & REPLACE 02 MODULE", they ordered the part but were unsure of when they will get it.

I've gotten alot of great information from this site, thanks.

I checked my vin number a couple of hours ago it says the same thing. Called the dealer he didn't know about it yet. He called me back and said they have 20 O2 sensors on order and will let me know when I can bring my truck in.

The recall you speak of is probably Emissions Recall G30, it includes replacing the Oxygen Sensor Module (not the actual O2 sensors, so you might want to call your dealer back and ensure they have the correct parts on order) and reflashing the ECM.

Lshiver I appreciate the info. He may have said module in there but I didn't here it, I will certainly ask though.

... . just talked to my Dealer, they said notices WILL be mailed out to affected trucks. They don't have the module in stock right now anyway, and they are limited on how many they can order at 1 time!! ... seems they have to stagger the recall so the parts people/vendors can keep up!!... ... tom

I read the dealer's recall notice at my dealer today. It was something like 13 pages and indicated there was some 75,000 trucks affected by the recall.

I have an appointment on Monday and the dealer claims to have everything they need. Will post results once I test out the new flash, etc.

Man, I hope my MIL light stays off now and fuel mileage increases!! :-laf :-laf

I actually got a phone call from my dealer this week letting me know about the Recall. Scheduled it for next Wednesday. Just wondering... . is it something serious that they had to call, or were they just bored?

DB - No, it doesn't appear to be a serious recall from everything that I have read. However, in the recall notice to the dealers, they are given a list of the affected VIN's and owner information and instructed to follow-up with the owners to schedule service.

The recall was listed on 10/31 and I went in to the dealer on 11/1 to schedule my appt. and the service manager had no knowledge of this at all. They just couldn't comprehend how I knew about something before they did! I told him I heard on the TDR and that seemed to make it okay...

Anyway, my appointment is on Monday... good luck with yours.

Had mine fixed last Thursday when I was in for a leaking front pinion seal. I guess they had the sensors in stock and was surprized that I even knew what the problem was. I've been using East Tulsa Dodge and have been very happy with their service.

I went in for an oil change today and told them I think there is a recall and sure enough there was and he did it at the same time. So guess time will tell if it makes any kind of noticeable difference.

MIL light came back on after about 2500 miles, not to happy about having to take it back, but it seems to run alright with the light on...
