Recalls, etc.

Hearing all the talk about lift et. al. , I went to alldata .com and found that supposedly the lift pumps were on a recall, as well as tsb s on the clockspring and rear spring pads. I just got back from the dealers, after having to get up very early to get the truck in to them only to find that Chrysler doesn't have any of this on their computer. Ergo, nothing to fix. Mine is an 01 , so maybe that has something to do with it. But the service man said they hadn't had any problems with the pumps. Being here in No. Cal, with ALL the trucks here, if we aren't having problems?? Also, the rear spring thing was because the duallies are real high in the rear, so they were dropping them down for the fifth wheelers. The clockspring was a sooo?No problem. Thought you'd all like to know the skinny.

The lift pump recall is only for some '99 and '00 trucks, wouldn't apply to your 01. 5' . I wouldn't trust anything a dealer said about what is and isn't a problem. The lift pump were a big enough problem that for a long time they were on restriction through D/C, they had to jump through hoops to get one because they were in such demand.
