Recalls finally done!!!

My local dealer finally was able to accomplish both the tie rod recall and the fuel heater today! Its only been on going for about 18 months.....WOO WHO!!!

I had the wife take the truck in for the fuel heater recall and wait. Service writer told her it would be hours, but had the courtesy van take her to I-Hop for breakfast, before she was done eating , the truck was finished.

Did you have to get the truck re-aligned after the tie rod fix?

The dealer said they aligned it after wards.

Wow, that took a long time! My tie rod replacement was done months ago. Did have to wait until the "official" recall notice when parts where available for the heater recall but that was done last week.

Glad the dealer re-aligned it. I'd heard the owner had to bear the cost. Guess I'll see if our local dealer has the parts available now.

I looked under my trucfk and they replaced the whole draglink, both tierods are new!
