I recently installed guages:

transmission Temp, Boost and EGT

After install I am hearing a whine or whistle, not sure how I should state it. It seems to appear at or above 10 lbs of boost. I am assuming it is a leak somewhere but cannot determine how to find it. I cannot hear anything if I give it throttle while in park.

I thought it may be leaking near the pyro but there are no signs of leaking.

This is my first diesel so I am learning as I go.

4. 5 HO QC LB

Autometer Phantoms Installed the pyro on the top of the manifold where geno's recomended. All of the guages appear to be working well. Just the whine I need to determine the cause.

Any help is appreciated. .

Thanks Jeff

All better. I am not sure which section was leaking but I removed the 3 sections between air box and Turbo and the connection from Turbo going to intercooler and reinstalled them and noise is gone.

I can not tell any difference in how these are presently tightened now than 30 minutes ago but it did the trick. .

I'm just guessing here, but I think you have a leak in your boost gage line most likely caused by a loose or poorly fitting connection on the back of the gage. I am also guessing you have pillar mounted gages. That would be the first place I would check.

You will not develop boost revving up the engine while parked. (I know that cuz I thought my gage was defective after installling it :D )

That would be the first thing I would check.

What is your transmission temp reading when crusing around town? Thanks, doc
