I've installed the low pressure warning LED, using a Geno's Fuel Filter Cap a Radio Shack 12V LED light, in-line fuse, and a Napa/Echlin #OP6613 Oil Pressure Switch.
It seems to work OK so far. I picked the switch out of the catalog, based on port thread size and pressure setting - it should close/signal at 6psi or less. The NAPA catalog also said it was used in fuel applications as well.
My question is, does anyone have a better suggestion (and source/part number) for a better/more reliable switch? This application is critical..... I'm a bit worried about the quality of the switch, long term, hanging off the side of my ISB...
