recomended oil for geratag

I need a recomendation for the best oil in a geratag transmision.

Probably the most recommended oil is Mobil 1 5w-30. My Getrag currently has 206k on it and 175k has been with ATF. Just so you know, ATF is not a popular choice for these trannies. I just happen to run it simply because it's still working just fine.

well um

i just changed mine for the 1st time at 102,000 miles

and i went with amsoil 5w30 and added the manual

transmission filter kit... . seems nice

Don't forget to overfill the Getrag by one quart. Should take about 5 quarts total.

I recently replaced my getrag a couple months ago. It was a rebuild from Alberta Driveline in Edmonton. The owner told me to use Castrol Syntec 5W-30 and overfill a litre. No problems thus far.
