On my '03 Dodge, with an auxillary fuel tank in the bed, I built a fuel delivery pump & valve system that has worked well, up until recently. Now when I drive it or have the engine running, fuel is dumping out near the main filling hose. I live in Phoenix, AZ. and park the truck outside and the side of the truck that the filling hose is on faces west and is really hot during the summer months. I'm thinking that the tubing I installed on that side of the truck has dried-up and cracked.
Does anyone make a tubing that will live in the extreme temps. of where I live? I'm wondering if something silicone based would work if they even make something like that.
Any thoughts would help a lot. I'm getting older and this will probably be the last time I can get under the truck to replace all that hosing. I don't want to do it again. Probably won't be able to. Thanks for your advice.

What size is the hose or is this a tube material? If Hose or if you can change to a hose! I would go to a NAPA store or a Cat dealer store and have a hose assembly made up for your needs. A Cat or Gates hose compatible with diesel fuel will work on your truck. I do know that Cat hoses will last at least 10 years in the correct conditions.

I have bought hose from West Marine and it has held up well. I believe there is one in your neck of the woods on Bell Road.

First, I mistakenly misspelled "flexible". Sorry!!! Thanks for the replies. I have a Cat Store not far from where I live and also, a West Marine store.
I may have had that hose on the truck for 10 years or around that long, so, maybe the hose I used was compatible with diesel fuel but, I left it on too long. I appreciate your help. Thanks.

I used auto transmission cooler hose on my auxiliary tank hookup, been on there 13 years, kind sunny here too but most of mine is under the truck. bg

I, also, built a custom-made fuel delivery system for my '03. In the bed of my truck, I had a 115 gallon auxiliary fuel tank installed in Elkhart, IN. I installed a fuel pump from Glacier Diesel Performance and it draws fuel from both tanks and delivers it to the HPCR. There are a number of valves to control the flow from either tank along with the returns. An elec. switch on the dash board controls where the fuel is coming from. It works well up until now. I'm going to have to replace the fuel hoses that flow the fuel and would like to install the best, possible, if that is even available. The desert heat is hard on rubber products out here in Phoenix, AZ. Years ago, I had rubber body side moldings installed on the sides of my truck and about half of them have fallen off when the double sided tape that held them on had failed. At least the truck is not rusting out like it would have in my hometown of Detroit, MI. Thanks for all your replies. I appreciate you guys taking the time to help me. I don't get on the TDR as often as I used to & you can imagine my surprise finding a post of the problem I was having and I was the original poster( Oct. 1, 2019) !!! I'd forgotten all about that post.
