What is an open ground fault???

Alaska, here we come!

We are planning a trip out west this fall including spending the winter in Florida. We have a 2004 All American Sport 5er toyhauler. I am the second owner and most of the original warranty has expired. I need a recommmendation on what extended warranty to purchase, if any. There are several companies to choose from such as Good Sam, Infinity, ect. Who do you feel has the best coverage while still remaining affordable. Looking forward to your comments. Thank you.

The best warranty is the Chrysler warranty at the time you purchase the vehicle new. They are also highly negotiable. No other after market warranty are as good, IMO.

Between my business vehicles and my personal vehicles I own 8 vehicles and 6 of them are Chrysler's..... I also own a Honda GL1800 Motorcycle...

The bike came with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty and an optional 4 additional years for $350. 00, mind you this is a $17K motorcycle... seven years for 350 with unlimited mileage was a steal... its more than paid for itself... and if you belong to HRC (Honda Riders Club) you get free towing.....

At the price of the extended warranty for the Chrysler vehicles I would have lost money... All my stuff except for a Jeep is out of warranty and some of my stuff has up to 240K miles... . they just haven't cost money to keep up... On the other hand if they offered say a 3 or 4 year unlimited mileage warranty for $2500 I'd step up an buy it... . that would be a value to me... . not what they now offer... .

When I bought my slightly used Chrysler Town and Country from a Chevrolet dealer, they offered me a GMAC "bumper to bumper" warranty for as I recall $800 range. I took it based on sales pitch that it "covered everything"

After several months of ownership there were some relatively small issues, power door not working, brake rotors warped, emissions control shot a code of a leak, etc. I took it and the list down to the local Chev dealer as required, they handed me the list back and announced that all that stuff was "maintenance" items and not covered! After asking some questions, I found that NOTHING is ever covered! If the engine blows up, it was from "lack of maintenance" and not covered since I would not be able to prove oil changes etc during the period BEFORE I owned it, same for transmission or anything else. Never again! Be sure and read all the fine print, AND their definitions.
