ok, so i have had the smoke lenses on the cab clearance lights for less than a year (11 months) today i left the truck running as i went into the store. on my way ought i figured since it was dark out i would check all of my lights. first thing i see is my drivers side outter cab light is "burnt out"

not a big deal, ill buy a new bulb and replace it. just now i wanted to verify it was the bulb. nope. the bulb works fine. so does the socket it is in if you wiggle it just the right way. not a big deal, when i have more time i can fix the socket with some tricks.

the thing i cant fix is the fact EVERY light cover is cracked. i tightened them down as follows.

place cover on roof.

insert screw and turn.

once screw head has contacted light stop turning

i dont feel i over tightened them as i was VERY cautious of this.

what the main problem is i can not find any contact info for this company... does anyone have any insite?

thanks

Hope you dont mind a 2nd genner here but... . I have them and have had the same issues. Then they start to leak. I ended up getting rid of the screws they supplied (as the were rusted in 2 months) went and got stainless steel ones and used the smallest possible "O" rings I could get. ( I believe they are 1/8") I ran the "O" ring all the way up to the head. Also, BE SURE the ground wire is on the screw before tightening it down.

Im not saying this is a cure, Im just saying "so far,so good" :D

ours dont use the sheet metal of the body for the ground. they are wired into the harness on both ends...
