recon cab lights

Anybody that installed their recon cablights on a truck that did not have any, did you use the mopar plastic nuts for the mounting screws or did you just screw into the metal? The nuts are used with the factory lights. If so what drill size to they require? I really do not want to just screw into the metal because it will start corrosion where the 2 metals connect.

On the Mopar cablights I have installed I have only drilled into the metal after installing the first set with the plastic insert nuts. This is due to the inserts start to spin as tightening the screw requiring it to be held with pliers. All 1st and early second generation trucks did not use insert nuts from factory.
