Recon Tailgate lights

I recently installed a Recon "white lightning" led light bar under my tailgate. The main purpose was to get a better backup light situation. It is not the solution I was hoping for. Oo.

They look neat but are not very functional.

Easy to install though.

If you want to solve your back up light issue I can do what we did to Dan's truck, it works good.

I found some lights that KC makes. They're backup flood lights. Mounts under the rear bumper. Summit sells them. you can wire them to just go off the reverse lights, or you can wire up a switch also. Makes hooking up a trailer in the dark a lot easier. The only thing I don't like about them, is that they don't look "factory. " I've seen some pretty good looking lights on the TDR that people put in their bumpers and they look awesome.

JR2, that is funny, I tell my dad the exact same thing. When he bought the 06, I told him all upgrades must be approved by me as to prevent over redneckification of a perfectly fine vehicle. :-laf
