Swapped in new cartridges, it still is printing this way.

Black is actually fluorecent green, red is bright yellow.

No other colors.

arrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help!

Gene..... been hittin' the propane bottle again huh? :-laf

Could be a defective cartridge.

I had one a month ago that printed everything red.

swapped out for a new, new one ..... everything's Okie-Dokie.

Quality control just ain't what it used to be.

It's a good bet. Gene's printer is not printing magenta, which will turn red into yellow (yellow+magenta=red; no magenta=yellow) and black into green (cyan+magenta+yellow=black; no magenta=green [cyan is a blue])

Oops. Sorry for putting y'all to sleep with this techno-babble!

If it is an older printer run a head cleaning if possible my printer did some crazy stuff like that untill I cleaned the head.

Try running it through 3 or 4 head cleanings. It's possable that the old colors are still stuck in the nozzles. Either that or the cartridge is bad, like everyone has already said. How old is your printer?

They make/model of the printer could help a lot too... .

We still don't know if this sucker is a bubble or ink jet... .

A lot of the more modern ink jets have replaceable nozzle/cartridge assemblies - making cleaning the jets unnecessary when purchasing a new cartridge.

You do have to align them - but that's beside the point.

Gene's truck voodoo has finally transferred to printers!! What's next - cellphones and PDA's?!! :-laf

No, no, Radixr is colorblind, remeber he always was in GLTDR chat in bright pink?

Inkjet HP 722 C

It has printed alot over the alst three years, not much lately.

My Compaq did this and I never did figure it out. I finally kicked it to the side. I still have it but don't use it.

Are there two cartridges? One black, one color? Get on HP.com and go through their online trouble-shooting process. I had a different problem a while back and that fixed it right up although I didn't think what it was having me do to it would amount to anything.

I also have a 722c on the fritz. Mine wont print yellow. All the pictures come out blue tinted. I've tried 2 different new color catridges and neither helped. For the price I paid for the ink, I can get a whole new printer and ink to go with it. I think printers are becoming a disposible item. I talked to a salesman who worked at CompUSA and he said they take a beating on new printers and hope to break even selling the ink.

Try this Gene. . Pull out the ink cartridges and use an eraser (pencil eraser. . not a chalk board eraser) on the copper connectors on the back of the cartridge and put it back in. If that don't work, rub an alchohol swab, or a handy-wipe across the print head. If that don't work, run the print head cleaning/priming feature for the printer a half dozen times.

If none of this works, have Radixr come over and verify that you are really not color blind.

Since we are into printer problems. .

If you have problems with the printer not picking up the paper, the roller probably has too much paper lint on it. Clean off the lint by rubbing a large pink eraser back-and-forth over the roller, while you slowly turn it.
