red light

got 2004 it has a factory red light below speedometer what is it? it only comes on when you first turn key on.

It's for the chip in the key. It comes on to let you know it's working then goes out if the chip is recognized. It the chip it's right, it'll come on and stay on and the engine will shut down in 15 seconds or something like that.
