My truck has 9k miles on in now and I am wanting to change the fluid in the NV5600 and in the front, rear and transfer case. I have heard that Redline makes a great product and lots of the guys here use them with much success. Just wanting to get some of the numbers for the fluids that I should use just to make sure I put in the right stuff. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I looked in my manuel and can't seem to find the capacities for the NV5600 and the front and rear differentials. Can someone post the capacities. Thanks in advance.

MTL is thin - a 75w80 I believe or 75w85. Their MT90 is a little thicker. Depending on where you live, MTL can be too thin. As far as diff capacities - the rear will take about 4 quarts the front around 3. Transfer case took like 2. 5 if I remember.

So what do most guys put in the NV5600? The MTL or the MT90? I live in NC and temps usually dont get below 20 or so for the most part. I also only tow very moderately with my truck (approx 10,000 lbs. ) Thanks

Use the MTL (75W-80). As already mentioned, it makes a very noticeable difference in shift quality. The fill capacity is listed as 9. 5 pints, but mine needed a little less than that as some came back out the fill hole. In the rear end you can use any GL-5 rated 75W-90 rear end oil. I used Mobil1 from Autozone, but other use Castrol, Texaco, Amsoil, etc... it should be pretty much the same.

Before going with Redline I called and talked to one of their Reps and he told me to put MTL in my NV5600 six speed. I asked him about the MTL 90 and his reply was its for the NV4500 five speed. I also use C+ in my transfer case and 75w90 in the diffs and everything runs quiet and smooth. I really don't think climate is a factor unless you are at one of the poles, Just my . 02

P. S. The cheapest place I found it is at: myoilshop.com shipping is reasonable and fast
