Anyone here using a refractometer to test anti freeze?. If so, which brand and how do you like it. I am thinking about getting one and there appears to be many around with prices I have seen from 19. 00 to at least 900. 00. Your thoughts please.

Thanks Mike. I seem to remember at least one other post on these so I tried a search and came up dry for some reason so I figured I would just ask. After all I am not competing with the "whats the best oil threads". The post I remember I thought had this link

Refractometer - Best Means for Testing Ethylene Glycol & Propylene Glyc

Looks like 150. 00 and has temp compensation built in. I don't mind paying for a good test instrument but I would also like other peoples thoughts if they have/use one.

We use them in our business to measure specific gravity, you can buy them cheap as posted on e-bay. Calibrate with distilled or DI water first to be accurate
