??? Regarding Seat Wiring

I was just looking under my center console to determine if I could put a drawer/storage area there (after I remove the rear cup holders) and noticed a box mounted to the front underside of the center console with two wiring harnesses, one going to and then inside each of the seat backs. The wires go from the front to the back, between the console and the seat (each side of the console), and then up into the seat backs. I can see the other wires under the seats that look like they would have been used for power seats and the seat belt light and buzzer.



Any idea what these are for? Possibly for the heated seat option if I had leather?

Wiring

The box is the up-side-down sensor for the seat belt retractors. When I installed my console, I double face taped the box to the carpet on the floor. Haven't had a problem.
