Regen mpg

My lemon... . regen 12. 3 mpg. No regen 19. 5+

Problem... ... My truck stays in regen 90% of the time . I have noticed turning on the turbo brake stops the regen momentarily maybe for 3 minutes ... . the mileage begins to climb from 12. 3 to 19. 5+. suddenly the mpg drops quickly to 12. 3 . It is staying in regen longer and longer as time goes on ... I know this from playing with the overhead on the same stretch of road over and over and over. I tested it for 25 miles at the time and resetting . Waiting on atty. to call me and tell me the diff. between my lemon and the new truck similar to mine ..... I've given him a couple of vin#'s from trucks at Tallahassee Dodge here in Fla.

I would love nothing more than to get rid of that dpf but I am too paranoid it will get too much attention from the cops, dmv and feds.

Will the dpf delete do away with regen alone or does it require some other programmer. I will delete the dpf on my next 6. 7, and probably put a programmer on it too.

Dpf delete gets rid of re gen and mine has to have the Juice w/ att to get rid of codes on startup. I got one of the first so they may have the code thing handled by now. ,
MLODGE, I understand, but really, really, I can barely get mine to smoke. Believe me I have tried. Even with my juice turned all the way up and on the dyno at May Madness I didn't see any smoke. and I have the 5" turbo back exhaust with no Cats. These truck run so efficient that it is really hard to get them to smoke anymore. Plus I blocked the EGR and no more soot running into my engine. I use CI-4 rated oil so I still get lubricity and can use fuel additives as much as I like with out worry about dpf clogging. WELL worth doing if you ask me. 3 mpg increase on the hwy. Frankly I have trouble telling which truck is supposed to smoke and which isn't, and I do this all day long so I doubt there are really many cops thay are looking for you unless you are shutting down the freeway with smoke.
