Not sure what the Regen PID's are. Does it give any ideas in the materials that came with the Dashhawk?
I moved this topic to a new thread. Anyone else out there using the OBDII connector to monitor the Engine and transmission PID's? Are you able to monitor any of the Regen PID's? And another question for you computer wizards what exactly does 'PID' stand for?
About a week ago I installed a DashHawk Vehicle Information Display which connects to the OBDII port and now supports many of the Cummins 6. 7 and 68RFE diagnostics. It has the ability to monitor many of the PID's including some used for Regen as well as boost, transmission temperatures and soon EGT... Any Word on the HawkEye Release? - Page 3 - MSD Ignition Tech Support Forums.
So far in a week I have been able to figure out two of the Regen PID's, I think anyway. The first being called 'Regen Filter' and the second 'Regen Trigger'. The filter sensor appears to count up in tenths until it hits the Regen Trigger number which in my case is 4. 5. At that point it must go into Regen as the Regen Filter number then begins to slowly count backwards. Mine made to back to 2. 7 and then I had to slow down in town so now the number is going back up again. I would assume that it would have under the right driving conditions continued to Regen until it got down to 0. 0.
Anyone else out there monitoring any of these PID's? Does anyone have the $$$ service manual... does it cover the diagnostics on these engines including these PID's?
