I drive 11 miles to work and back and I know about the drive freeway speeds to do a passive regen but is there like anything I can do when on surface streets to help it in the meantime?. . like have higher RPM Locking it in like 4th or 5th? . .
Also does the Active Regen occur only when you get the message on the overhead and drive a long way to get it started?. .
Is there any way on the overhead that you can monitor the DPF capacity level? . . With a reader? Smarty? . .
This is all new to me with my new truck last week. . I have 11 miles on it mostly around town... I did 1, 45 mile drive to do a passive. . Paranoid I guess. .
is there any rule of thumb on the length of time it takes with normal driving for the filter to get anywhere near full?
Sorry for all the Q's but just trying to absorb it all. .
TIA
Eric
