2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Regular cab to quad cab conv.??

FIRST TIME POST ... .

I have a 2000 Regular cab 2500 4x4. I miss a quad cab. If any one was done this has heard of this or think it can be done( without major cutting or welding ) take a body from quad cab short bed and stick it on my regular cab long bed.



I believe wheel base is the same. All bodies are the same 1500 2500 3500(bed on duallys are different duh).



Any and all info would be appreciated before I start going crazy with a tape measure under trucks.

I'm thinking the problem will be finding a good body without the rest of the truck in good shape under it. Might make more sense to sell yours and buy what you really want.
