If I replace the existing OEM headlight relays, will it help control the amount of heat transferred to the headlight switch?
I have already ordered the LMC "heavy-duty headlight harness"
Thank you in advance for your experience/assistance, Patrick
I'm on my 3rd headlight switch. That being said it wasn't until I did the headlight relays that the last one has lasted the longest - about 10 years and still going strong. The relay conversion removes most of the load away from the headlight switch. The headlight switch only provides the signal to the conversion relays. Those relays then carry battery load directly to the headlights. The end result is brighter headlights. I also converted my headlights to H4 bulbs. The Chinese/American H4s lasted on average about 6 months. It wasn't until I went to Bosch H4s that I had a system that works very well. The Bosch H4s are still going strong for the last 5+ years.
