Relocated the block heater connector, pics in gallery

I finally got around to relocating my cord for the block heater. No more cord hanging out the front. Pics are in my gallery.

Makes ya cringe cutting off the end of the cord a little, huh? I have my pics posted somewhere here in the forums.

I figured quite a few people had probably already done it. Wasn't to worried about the cord. I deal with electrical stuff alot.

I put in a dual duplex box to plug in the block heater, two battery heaters, and a silicone pad on the oil pan and ran the cord to same. Didn't like the cord hanging out the front. One problem is that at really cold temperatures, the rubber/plastic cover gets really stiff and difficult to put back in. I'm just waiting for the cover to fall off...

Where can one obtain this cord?

The cord was on the truck. its just the factory block heater cord. I hear that if you don't have one, they can be purchased from the dealer or cummins. i see quite a few on ebay. the cord is alot longer than it appears on the trucks. they have it wrapped in a loop under the air box with a zip tie.
