Relocating The Backup Camera

My new truck has Backup Camera, after using it some, I really like it, but I am installing a 5th wheel louvered tailgate, and will loose the camera. So what I was thinking remove the camera and harness from the factory tailgate, and find someplace to mount it, on, or under, or over the bumper, or on the RV tailgate. The Factory points the camera down that assists hooking up a trailer on the hitch, I won't use it for that, just looking for people and objects when backing up, has anyone done this?
