Relocating to SoCal

Folks,

It looks like Uncle Sam is sending me to SoCal to play Navy with the Marines. I am looking for some info on decent areas to live around the Camp Pedleton area. I'll drive no more than 50miles one-way since I'll mostlikely use the Scooter for getting to work.

Lots of housing in oceanside and fallbrook. Both about 5-10 miles from main gate.
