Well the last regulator lasted 8 months and the heat from the manifold must be the culprit. My alternator is new and I don't think its the prob.
Anyway, to relocate the regulator, can you get a new pigtail??? From all the change outs mines a little chewed.
Any other tips??

I don't know if the heat from your exhaust manifold is causing your regulator to fail. I still have my original voltage regulator installed in the stock location, and never had a problem with it.
The replacement plug for the regulator can be found either in a wrecking yard, or in those red pre packaged parts marked "HELP!" at the auto parts store. I believe I saw these plugs available at Pep Boys.

Hey Jason,
I don't know if it'll do any good but I bent up a bracket out of sheetmetal and mounted mine on the angled portion of the firewall above the drip trough. It sets it up and to the side of the exhaust manifold and the bracket gives room for a little air flow behind the regulator. My electrical problem has been a hard one to fix but among other things it makes my amp gauge wave like a windshield wiper. The bracket is one of the fixes I've incorporated and it seems like a good idea even if just for the heat problem.
I also found that these things prefer Dodge regulaters as opposed to aftermarket and a good ground at the reg body too.
Something to consider, Jones
