Just wondering if anyone has added a aux, or remote oil filter kit to their automatic transmission. What brand did you buy?, and where did you mount it?

I added one a few years ago. I believe it is a B&M. I think I got it from Summit.

It is installed (in the return line) horizontally on the cross brace beneath the radiator, drivers side. I have a skid plate underneath it.

Now, here is the problem. The lines are 1/2" pipe thread (i. d). I talked to the place I ordered it from about the size. Oh sure, it is 1/2" pipe. I get it, and it is 1/2" tubing size (o. d. ). Call them up, duh, it's the biggest they have. Okay, it went on with reducers. A slight restriction in the return line wouldn't be too bad.

Anyhow, when I get around to doing some plumbing upgradesin that area I will go to the local John Deere place and get a filter mount with the right size ports.

I ordered a kit from Perma-Cool and that is the same place I was thinking to mount my kit when it comes in, under the radiator horizontally.

How do you tell which line is the return line on the truck???

Thanks,

Thanks,

I either looked in the shop manual,or picked it up off this website.

Probably a lot of threads on draining the T/C, . that line is what you use.

There was also a lot of discourse years ago about the faulty trans. lines blowing out in the second gen 12 valve models.

If this doesn't find you the answer, I'll crawl under the truck and look, when I get a minute or two.
