I am going to put on a US Gear D-Celerator remote brake. I would like to have some feedback about do's and don'ts.
Turbo is a KSB1B so a direct bolt on brake was not an option.
It is the 4" air pressure actuated model on a new 4" 16 gauge exhaust system. There is a joint at the turbine out, then downpipe, then a joint about at the transmission anti sway bracket, and one joint about 4" prior to the D-Celerator. All joints are 2" deep and fully inserted and have band clamps on each joint torqued to the recommended 60' #. The D-Celerator will have a hanger system on it to support the weight so the pipe is not holding that weight. There is no resonator and it is pre muffler.
What are your experiences with a remote brake?, what are your thoughts / ideas of what to be carefull of / pay particular attention to?
I value any and all comments and thoughts,
Thanks,
Bob Weis
