Remote Start/Doorlocks and cooldown timer

Anybody put a remote doorlock and start kit in a first gen? Are there generic units made that can be wired into our trucks?



I would think it would come in pretty handy.



Also, I am very interesting in that Isspro unit that connects to your pyro for truck shutdown... I'm not interested in timers... the isspro unit, I believe, would be far superior because you know that your truck ran for long enough and not any longer than it had to.



BUT: does anyone know if it would work with an autometer pyrometer?

I know bulldog remotes start and alarm can be used on diesel. Also there is another brand jc whitney carries is design tech they have remote starts and keyless entry's.

I've go the ISSPRO unit you're referring to, it's great, I have 2 thermocouple probes, one pre turbo for the pyrometer and a 2nd post turbo for shutdown, the pre turbo cools quicker than the post turbo so it's a better spot for shutdown.

A lot of people tell me that I forgot to turn my truck off when I walk away from it, I just show them my keeys and tell them it is off

It's a great device, I do kind of keep my ears open after walking away to make sure it does turn off, when I was trying to decide about getting one I did a search on here and someones had failed and when they came back their truck was still running.
