2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Remote start/locks and alarm

Does anybody make a good remote start and power lock setup for our trucks? I'd prefer one that also has an alarm.

let me get back to you with the actual brand. A good friend installed one in my former roommate's '03, and it's a sweet setup! However, he doesn't use the alarm function, just the remote start and the keyless entry.



I just had him order for me today a keyless entry setup for my 01. He's going to help me install it for a case of Rolling Rock puke:!), but that's what he likes, so that's what I'll buy. The guy's been doing it forever, so I trust it'll be a much cleaner install than what I normally do (nobody is allowed to look under my dash for fear that they may get lost in the bundle of wires and never found!)

I run a trc in both of mine. Remote start and alarm with auto lock. My 97 also has a module to roll up and down the windows. Works good for me.

Remote Start & Alarm

I have the Viper remote starter & antitheft unit for 12 months now, It has an alarm provision but I did not have it activated. For the remote start this one is tapped into the wait to start light, a must for the CTD, some remotes only have a built in timer which is no good when the temps get well below freezing.

I love this unit especialy in a crowded parking lot
