Did a search for this issue and didn't find any threads for it. Using the FOB, the remote start function on my 2017 starts the motor then after 10 seconds it shuts down. The message in the dash says "Remote start disabled start vehicle to reset". I also tried the U-Connect app on my cell, the same message appears.
Starting the truck without the remote is okay, the truck starts and continues to run. Any idea what is going on?

How is your fuel level. I seen mine shutdown if fuel was getting low. I don't remember if it gave a specific low fuel reason though.

Won't start and stay running if doors are open/ajar or if low on fuel.

Thanks for all the replies. I have 3/4 on fuel and checked all doors, gave it a try on the remote...same issue, runs for 10 seconds and then shut down. I also have a check engine light. I will have the code read tomorrow.

OH! The code will most likely explain the issue.
Yep! Read the code it's a P2609-Intake air heater system performance. The code was erased and the check engine light is gone. Should I just drive the truck around to see if it comes back or do you guys have a further recommendation?
This is the first time there has been a check engine light come on in the truck, its' a 2017 withe 21,000 flawless miles...so far.

I'm thinking check the intake grid heater connection just for grins to see if it's ok. Its relatively easy to get to. Was/is it cool when this was going on?

Cheers, Ron

I would get it to the dealer first chance I had.......

There’s been a few intake grid heater bolts come apart, enter the engine, and take out one cylinder. Hopefully you can get a preemptive strike on this potential problem and come out unscathed.

Update... took the truck into the dealer. They said because I erased the code there is no way to check anything related to the p2609 Code. When I read the code with my scanner it had an indicator saying the code was a permanent code. I assumed permanent meant the code would be in the history, is this the case? Could the dealership read the code in the history and diagnose the CEL? I will in the future not clear the code if it's impossible to diagnose a problem without having an active code.

In addition the trip to the dealership wasn't a total waste of time, they did an inspection of the truck while it was there and found and replaced a leaking front pinion seal.
