viper is best in my opinion. but they are all starting to be outsourced these days. at least that is what i heard from my buddy at the car stereo store. i think bulldog is one of the cheaper units.

I have an audiovox unit that has been in my truck for 5 years never had a problem,

alarm, remote start and it also rolls up the windows

if you want it to warm up the truck in the winter time dont waste you $$ unless you have the warm up feature ( high idle) turned on in the ECM

because it will nerer warm up on its own at idle

scott is right. i have let mine sit for half and hour and it didnt warm up at all. it was colder than you know what outside. it is handy for leaving your truck running while going in a store or something. that way the keys arent in the ignition. and you come out to a truck that is still warm inside. or on the flip side a cold interior in the summer.
