Does anyone have a remote starter on there new truck ?
I have an 04 and the guy hooked up a timer for ten seconds before it starts . I think that is to long a wait . What do you hook the remote to so it knows when the truck is ready to start?
Could you connect to the grid heater solenoids with a minimum wait of 3-5 seconds? I can hear the solenoids on mine kick off the same time the light goes out.
Mine is set to wait for 20 seconds. MY installer could have hooked to the grid heater light, but I figured what the hell is 20 seconds, if it's cheaper and he dosen't have to splice anymore wires.
A friend had his hooked up so that it monitored the power going to the "coil" light. After it goes out the system cranks it over. I don't know what brand system he had. It was slick. Talk with some alarm installers, they should be able to do this.
