While removing the injectors in my 07 5.9 I find this bracket held to the back of the head by 2 bolts which needs to be either loosened or removed to properly R&R #6 injector.

Does anyone have any suggestions or methods for accessing these bolts? Seems like maybe coming in from the left front wheel well with splash guard removed might work but thought I'd ask - thanks for any suggestions.

I have r&r #6 injector many times without disturbing that bracket. Either use a short 3/8 drive socket or a crow's foot on the nut.

Deep 1/2 socket thru the hole lines up on the nut for loosening or TQ. You can come under the bus harness and get enough throw to make it work.

Remove the factory mounting bracket , spin the bolts back into plenum holes. ( not #) The bracket label # 5 is not a problem. If you don't have crow foot (As mentioned) or micro wrench just use a extension and a couple of hits moves it out of the way, it bends easy.

I had to remove it too - I'll send a picture how to do it - it is easy with this trick.
But is to difficult to describe it for me.

Thanks for all the replies. I was going to go the crowfoot route but didn't have one so ended up with a flexible socket & 13mm socket and a few acrobatic moves and got the bracket to swing down. Just had to loosen bolts, top hole is slotted so bracket swings down.
