I have switched from a auto to a manual for my conversion truck and I would like to get rid of the transmission cooler lines aas they are taking up room that I could use for something else and gain a little clearance without them. What is the trick for getting the fitting off of the little barrel thing on the passenger side rear of the engine. It is a fitting that attaches vertically to the bottom of the barrel and is not a twist type fitting I am curious if it is some sort of compression fitting. I have tried pushing it up and crushing the top of the fitting but it doesn't seem to want to go up. Any help would be appreciated.
