Is there a trick to removing the last bolt at the rear of the cover. It seems there is not enough height to pull the bolt up through the cover. I even pulled away some of the insulation to see if that would help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS in advance. It is a 99. Brad:confused:

Brad, just leave it in the cover and remove later. Just unthreaded the bolt. and the cover needs to be moved to the right after pushing down on the heater hoses on the right side.

The cover will not come off just straight up.

I hope this helps

Bob, I knew I was trying way to hard and making it more difficult than it is. I will give your plan a go tomorrow. Thanks, and thanks again for the awesome looking cover. Can't wait to get it on!

Bob, you know how warm and sticky it was today, and to top it off, the truck had been driven for 30 min. or so, so that made it all the warmer for working on. I figure I sweat a couple pounds off trying to figure that one out. Could have used a head band for that one.

Last Valve Cover Bolt

I took off the plastic cowl housing, first remove wipers and arms

Then pull off the plastic screws that hold the cowl on. I drilled a 1. 5" hole right above the last bolt, even with cowl back on you can lift last bolt into area. The valve cover has to come up then forward. You can ruin that $50. 00 gasket easy!

Valve cover removall

Bob, That valve cover is a little tricky but it'll come off. I pulled one of the heater hoses to make things easier but guess it wasn't really necessary.

You just have to jiggle things somewhat while working the cover off and the same going back on.
