Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) removeing throttle cable

How does the throttle cable remove from the APPS (throttle position senser),I tried prying it off,,it didn't budge and I hate to crack it. any imput would be greatly appreciated.

It is somewhat of a ball and socket joint, and yes it is somewhat of a pain to get off. A small pickle fork type tool works good, or a couple of flat head screwdrivers. I haven't ever broke one, but im not saying you cant break um. Good luck...
