The bodyside moldings are easily removed with a heat gun. Keep the heat gun constantly moving across the molding until it is hot to the touch. Start at one end, lifting with your fingernails and the molding will peel right off.
The bodyside molding from a SWB '98/'99 Ram can be addded behind the rear wheelwell of the LWB Ram for extra protection or to give your ride that "completed" look. I did that on my Black Sport... until I removed them (Doh!) to install my Mopar fender flares. You can get away with a lot of things like this on a Black vehicle. Most Rammers never even notice I have added the bodyside moldings to my Sport. Hidden in plain site. . Ram camo.
