Just ordered a set of bushwackers and was wondering how you guys got the badge off w/o marring the finish? Are the Bushwackers easy to put on, or should I hire the vendor for $60? thanks, Doc

I took the badges off my 2001 by using a blow dryer to heat the badge first... . then I was able to pull them off a little at a time... . I used "goo gone" adhesive remover to remove the remaining adhesive... . then simply cleaned and waxed. Project left absolutely zero blemishes on the truck. I've heard good things about the fishing line technique, but you may want to still use the blow dryer first to heat it up -- should make it even easier.

try the yellow tip on a pressure washe. I removed the Dealer logo off the rear with that. Worked great. Just hit it at the side and get behind it. Just hope that the paint stays on. Its really thin on my 04... :--)

I used a heat gun and fishing line... ... worked great, then used wax and grease remover for the residue. Then I added some doulble back tape and re-installed them above the door emblems. ... ... ... :p

HOw i removed the decals. took "goop" wet down the tape that holds all on. Then took fishing line, used 4lb, just because i had it. Used a sawing motion to cut thru tape between paint and decal. After that was done. now you will have just the tape remaining on truck. Wet it down again with the goop you will see it get the wet look. I then used finger (side) to start and lift up the actual tape. Once i had a, start then i just kept pulling it up to remove it. Start on small decal first to get the feel. I started on Larime. Have side 3500 to remove still. Note: i did try a heat gun. Got the decal so hot i could not touch it bare handed. the heavy duty truck decal is very thin and can break. Also "WD40" will clean and actually help in removal of stickum. control your wish to get it done quick, do not take a blade to it. pick one and take just it off. sit in a chair to do this. Think of how it will look clean as a virgins ... ... ... ... ... muhaa!
