2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Removing dash pieces ?

I have a 99. How do I remove the dash piece just under the ashtray. Does it pull straight out ?

Don't know that one for sure, but with any dash panel look under the bottom edge for screws going upward and pull out the instrument nacelle (the large trim piece that surrounds the cluster, radio, heater/air outlets, etc. ) to look for screws holding the top of your panel. On both the '97 and '01 the instrument nacelle is the key to unlock most every other piece of the dash. I'd imagine that '99 follows the practice one way or another.



It's best not to just start pulling on any panel because DC has a way of attaching odd pieces in more than one way. There might be snap-in spring clips and screws for example.
