I'm converting to an NV4500 and since the engine is going into a military truck, I'm removing the original engine mounts which held one end of the transmission cooler.

Question: on the manual transmission engines is the coolant output just above the w/pump plugged and is the return a single 90* adapter?

I'd like to do the job properly: one suggestion was to weld shut the 2nd 90* drain (next to the heater core return).

Please let me know any part numbers for (I'm assuming) a single 90* coolant return adapter and plug for the output - TIA.

Yes. The manual elbow has one less hole and the outlet is replaced by a plug. The elbow is available from Dodge. It is not available from Cummins.

I tried to order the single inlet elbow that takes the heater return back to the block and the Dodge parts guy didn't have a page that showed the manual version. Instead, his system showed the double 90* inlet I already have and the parts program didn't prompt for which transmission.

If anyone has a part number for the manual transmission elbow, I'd really appreciate it.

I was able to order the plug without any problem and it was only $1. 98 inc. tax.

Part number is 04429976. BTW have you gotten the other fitting out? Mine has no external hex for a wrench. Haven't looked too hard at it yet. Maybe next week or so when the rest of the goodies from Piers get here.
