I want to replace the hydroboost unit without removing the brake lines from the BMC. Can this be done? Is there enough room?

I was able to replace mine without disconnecting the brake lines. I've replaced the hydroboost twice, still running the original MC.

I was able to do it, just carefully/slowly move the MC away, so you don't kink the lines, and you can pull out the hydroboost.

Yes, thanks for the input, it helps. I did this replace yesterday and it's doable. I have 4 wheel abs and increased room to move the BMC out of the way without stressing the lines too much by removing the mounting bolt for the combination valve. That will give additional room to move the BMC forward and down enough to make removal of the hydroboost unit out and up. I used a reman NAPA unit and you must reuse the original pushrod out the front of the hydroboost. Remove the spring retainer, spring and spacer. The pushrod that comes with the reman unit is shorter then the OEM rod. It's mentioned in the installation instructions but some people don't read those. I think it would be a problem if you didn't do this. All is good now. Nice having better then new power steering/brakes with the heavy duty power steering pump I installed too. Makes a huge difference.
