I own a "02" 2500 with the H. O. diesle and six speed transmission. I love the way a cummins sounds, and the buckets of power it gives you.

My question is, if i remove the muffler and put a straight pipe in its place, will that void my warrenty???

I'd like to give it some more power and a better sound, but I don't have the money to do a big exaust system. Any help will be appreciated.

Before I had that done I asked the service manager at the local dealer the same question. He said that it could void the warranty if it caused a problem with the truck later on related to the modification, then went on to say he's never seen an instance where that happened. I sincerely doubt you'd ever have a problem with warranty issues because of a staight pipe and if ya do just find another dealer.

I highly doubt you'll ever have a warranty problem also but if you do that's it, you're in every dealer's computer as denied warranty.
