Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Removing Silencer Ring?

Can anyone explain to me how to remove the silencer ring or have any pictures?



I know it won't increase performance I just want to be able to hear the turbo sing.

Pull off the air intake to the turbo. There is a silver ring in there with a snap ring holding it in. Just pop out the snap ring ang the silver ring.

the ring is held in by a C-clip take 2 small screw drivers and pry it out of there but be care ful as you dont want to scratch the turbo up or get metal flakes in the housing..... these can be a pin to get the clip to come ou tbut dont give up and i assure you it will come out, I have 2 of riding around in the back of my rig right now
