In order to install the new Fleetguard Enviroguard on (puts oil from breather back into the oil sump) I need to open up and use the front oil dipstick tube. I went over to Cummins NW and they looked at it and said that the easiest way was to pull the powersteering pump out and that allows access. They want about $180 to do that. However the mechanic told me that I could do it myself. All I had to do was move the Power Steering pump back out of the way. He indicated that I might need a gasket afterwards, but the job was basically straightforward. Is this a simple job? Will I need a new gasket?

Its been a long time since I installed one (probably over 3 years).

Buy a new gasket, just in case.

Very straightforward, in out type thing.
