Would a 12' feral hog fit in a 3rd Gen LWB?

A/C Noise

My truck has been extremely tight but lately I have had an intermittant rattle up close to the windshield in front of the steering wheel. If I reach up and push down between the windshield and the dash, it goes away. I am thinking I have to lift up this panel to see what is making the noise. This panel is about 6" wide and goes from A pillar to A pillar. It is the one that has the defrost vents in it. Does this thing just lift up or is their some super secret Rubix cube solution to get this thing up?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Pop up the edge closest to the steering wheel all the way from a pillar to a pillar then lift up a little to get a pair of long nose needle nose pliers in to pull the other clips as to not braek them. You can see each clip when the panel is lifted a couple of inches or so. Good luck but dont sweat it.

Here ya go...

After you have the near edge pryed loose, you must disengage the forward clips by pulling the panel toward the rear of the truck. It will help if you bend a piece of coat hanger wire into an L shape and hook the clip and pull back. (the near clip is visible at the left edge of the pic, the forward clip is visible just above the red anti squeek pad. )

Fixed it!!!

Thanks for the pic, they helped alot. I popped up the panel tonight and found the squeak. I tightened up the screws but it was still there. The panel underneath would pop when I put a little pressure on it and I could not get to to tighten up anymore. Resorted to the old silicone trick. Sprayed a little around the edges and presto, it disappeared. Took less than ten minutes. Thanks, guys. Oo.
