2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Repair or replace Heater fan switch

The fan heater switch only works in one position. Is a repair possible like spray a electronic cleaner into the switch? Shop told me, I need to buy a heater blower controler @ $156. If so, where do I find the best price?

I think there is a resistor that members on here have replaced for only a few bucks. It is what gives you the lower fan speeds. Do a search on it.

What year truck?

I have a 99 that I just bought a replacement heat/AC control panel for. However, it looks like that might not have been my problem. I bought mine from a salage yard and it was only like $40 or so. You might check some local yards before buying new.

Does anyone know the resistor value? I have found some old threads that keep pointing to the resister.
