I need some help 06 Ram Infinity sound sys. if I replace fr. speakers will it help the muddy sound thought about the infinity Kappa 693. 9i what do you think thanks
Make sure not to Dynamite the doors if you do, it absorbs sound that normally reinforces and amplifies output, so you end up with a lot less bass.
I wouldn't go with Infinity personally, they are very bright on the high end. Check Boston Acoustic, a high quality product with emphasis on natural sounding treble.

TSB 23-018-06 addresses buzzing in the front speakers:
Speaker buzz.
Customers may experience a buzzing sound coming from the door area when the radio is on. This bulletin involves adding insulating tape to the inner door and door trim panel.
But if you are talking about the somewhat lame quality of the speakers then:
Yeah, I have an '06 that came with the "premium" infinity 7-speaker system. I ended up replacing all my speakers with Infinity Perfect 6. 5" component speakers, JL 12" W6 sub, amps, JL Cleansweep, sound mat insulation, etc.
I don't think you'll see a huge difference simply by replacing the front speakers... although music "sound" is highly subjective to personal preference/taste/audiophile-ness, etc
The OEM amplifier also has built in crossovers, so no speaker in the truck is a full range...
I believe on the 7 speaker system, the front door speakers get the lows/mids, the front dash get the highs, and the rear doors get the mids/somewhat highs. It's really a muddied arrangement that, in my opinion, requires bypassing the OEM amplifier to produce good quality sound.
