I have a 1997 2500 with a V10, the question I have is, has anyone replaced the V 10 with a 5.9? And if so how much trouble is the conversion? I have a 1997 with a cummins for the downer vehicle.
Buddy of mine is doing this same swap right now going from V10 to cummin's from what I understand the wiring is different and I want to say Heater system let me check with him tomorrow and find out what he had to swap on his .he is going from 95 v10 to 97 cummin's and so far it has been fairly easy n bolt in place .
Destroked makes several conversion kits to swap cummins engines. I know they make a v10 kit for fords. I dont know about the dodges, but they will most likely have parts that will work for Cummins end of the swap and make it much easier.
