Replaced My Old Cp-3 With The New Updated Number, On First Sight, There Is Noticeable Difference In Port Locations In The Pump, Connections Are Identical In Location, Direct Bolt On In About 2 Hours Of Messin Around, My First One So I Was Careful, The Only Scary Part Was When I Pressed Off The Drive Gear, It Popped Off Fast And I Thought I Broke It, But Other Than That, Real Simple And Quick To Change, I Have Not Dynoed Yet Or Even Really Got To Drive It Besides On And Off The Trailer, I Will Try To Get To Play With It On Monday, I Will Use My Older Cp-3 For Playin With Now, I Wanted To Modify Everything In The New One, But Decided It Would Be A Lot Cheaper To Destroy The Old One In Good Working Order, And Of Course I Will Try It On A Friends Truck Before Mine ... ... . ;)

when you open the pump up, will you take some pictures... . and post them... oh please,oh please!

  dealers charge at least double even with core return!

TG - add this to your pressure relief valve volume purchase!

Can you post the Bosch part numbers stamped on the two pumps? Those numbers indicate how much fuel the pump with flow (theoretically).

John

i will look for the numbers on both pumps, i can take pictures of the internals, but i am not sure how i will get them posted, from what i understand, all the new cp-3s, automatically update on the part# to the newer style, i also believe the newer model flows more fuel, and is capable of sustaining higher power levels, i paid 700 for the pump, with a 350 core, this is a new pump, not a remanned pump, ;)

yes i installed a cp-3 that would be found on a 610 eng. i modified a couple of small things before the installation, i havent had a chance to drive it yet, maybe on monday, the reason why i went with a new cp-3 is that u see the 610s making over 600 h. p. with stock inj and two boxes, it is hard to get a 555 motor over 550 h. p. with just boxes, and of course some air too... i want to do some internal changes to the current cp-3 but they are so close to finding a better solution that it doesnt justify the cost to modify my current cp-3s Oo.

truck definitely starts faster, and sop and clutch slipping, tells me it has more power, no dyno #s yet, but they are coming soon after my snow water meth (the big one) installation... . , i averaged 19. 8 mpg at 83 mph from slc to elko, with no boxes... . , with tst on 3x2 it pulls really hard and maxes out at 1300 deg and the blow offs are dumping at 60 psi, i need some studs and rings so i can turn up the boost to about 75 psi, i also need new tires.....

can a diesel injection pump place modify the cp3 on the 03 to flow higher volume?? i know they did a good job on the 6. 2 diesel we had. wouldnt this make it better than the new cp3's??
