I ordered mine yesterday. Hope it will be here next week. They sold out on Ebay of the plain caps (says 15 sold). It still shows the cap and filter available though.

I got mine Wednesday. Looks like a very nice piece. It will get installed when I do my fuel filter maintenance in August. I'll take some comparison pics of the new spare plastic one i bought "just in case" and this one next week. Ken Irwin

Just be careful getting the cap on straight, the plastic is forgiving on the housing threads-not so much with the metal cap

I think anything made from billet is bad***** but I have to agree with Bob4x4 about the possibility of thread damage.

What think you?
Besides the cross-thread potential..
Would torquing the billet cap to the same value as the plastic one cause damage to the threads?
I believe the torque for the plastic OEM cap is 22.5 ft lbs.
Any idea what the torque should be with the billet cap?

It uses an O-ring as the seal. I intend to use the same torque. The threads should be fine. I will lubricate the threads with engine oil prior to assembly and check for leaks after I start the engine.

Update I installed this in August. Went on really easy, no leaks. Torqued it the same as the plastic factory cap. Will see how it comes off in February.
